So, I'm Really Digging Chrome
There are a few obvious things missing (how do I manage bookmarks??) but download, installation, and setup took about one minute, total. The subtleties are what set it apart:
- Page loads appear in the lower left corner, as needed
- URL’s are given a visual hierarchy so the domain is prominent
- Tab movements are given nice easing
- The overall lack of UI “chrome”
- Combing search with the address field
That last aspect is probably my favorite, and took me a second to discover. I frequently use the keyboard shortcut Command + L (Mac) to enter a new URL, and can now access search the same way. Not having to mouse over to a separate search field is nice. Try it out.
